A Title tag is the HTML element used to specify the title of the webpage.

The Title tag tells the users as well as to search engines what we can expect from that particular webpage in the short and concise way.

The title tag should be written in such a format that is should begin with the most important keyword then followed by the second most important keyword and the finally our brand name.

  • Length: Title tag should be 72 characters long as per 2019 update.
  • Keyword placement: Primary keyword | Secondary keyword | Brand name.
  • Do not duplicate the title tags: Every page must contain different title tags.
  • Make it relevant: Title tag must exactly describe the content of the web page.
  • Don’t do keyword stuffing: Repeating a keyword over and over is called keyword stuffing and will be penalized for it.
  • Make headline different from title tag: This is another opportunity to appears in different searches.

Meta description

The Meta description is a small snippet that we can see in search results under the title, it is the summary of the content inside the webpage and it should be about 160 characters. It is important to write a great and attractive description which will lead you to get more traffic by encouraging users to click on our site compare to competitors.

  • Provide correct and clear information to capture the attention of the user.
  • Try to include focus keyword in the description does not stuff.
  • A call to action should be included to invite the user to click and visit our website.

Meta description invites readers to the website from SERP. Optimizing the meta description is a very important aspect of on-page SEO. Though it does not word for ranking process, it is a bridge to our visitors.
